Indie Author Book Expo 2018

On Saturday, July 28th and Sunday 29th, 2018 I had a book events with other fellow authors from Romance, to Thriller to Fantasy and Horror and Fiction. It was great to sit at a table with other authors and knowing that they do the same thing that I do.

At the beginning for the first 3 or four hours it was slow, but then people started to show up and stop by the author’s table’s and talk to them, looking at the books. I’ve had people stop by my table and look at my book and read the back. Some of them took a bookmark or signed my newsletter list.I enjoyed setting up my table and having the chance to sit there and promote my book. Even though it was slow and a long day, I still had a great time and I was feeling my best and most positive. It felt great to sit there like the other authors and feeling accomplished.

After sitting for a long time for the first four hours I had to get up and stretch my legs because they were cramping and my back was hurting. Every time I wanted to get up and walk around people would stop by my table and check out my book. It made me feel really good inside that people looked at my book and listened to what I had to say.

I love it when people stop by my table and take a picture of me holding my published book in my hand. I feel even more accomplished that I’m a published author and I did it all on my own with the help of supporting and loving people that said: you can do it.
